Do you decorate your lawn/landscape for Christmas?
I see houses with great lights outside of home. They have "Christmas landscape." It looks expensive to me :) But it gives good feeling. I think I also want to do that one day.

No, as I've said elsewhere, we just don't do much anymore, but some of the neighbors a bit further away do some very nice things on their lawns. I love to see it.

A few years back when there were more kids in the neighborhood I used to do more than I do now. I used to make whimsical for the kids. Now I keep it a lot more understated.

Re: Do you decorate your lawn/landscape for Christmas?
In places where there is snow, decorating the landscape may not be applicable. But in areas where there is no snow, then maybe this is where it makes sense. On second thought, why decorate outside when people are inside, right? But still, when many neighbors decorate outside, the feeling is good when you walk around.

There's a home a mile or two from us that rigs up thousands of lights and has them timed to music on a certain radio station. Not sure how it works, but people line up every evening to watch and listen.
(Wonder what the neighbors think...)

Hehe, that looks too much. I do not mean we should decorate our house like a giant Christmas cake. But maybe that neighbor has lots of money. When people watch and listen, maybe they are entertained.

Yes we do. I like lighting up the house on Christmas. I've set-up a lot of lights on the fence and the bushes. I've got a lot decorations in the garden too and most of them are also lit up. These lights are going to drive my power costs way up high.

I put up some lights and greenery but there is a house nearby that goes all out, they have videos posted on YouTube too because it blinks to the music and it works off your radio station in your vehicle.

Re: Do you decorate your lawn/landscape for Christmas?
I like looking at the houses with the (slightly over the top) decorations but I wouldn't do it myself. Too much work and I would get tired of people staring!

I do like to put a few seasonal items around though. Perhaps a xmas hat on my lawn ornaments if I have children visiting.

Re: Do you decorate your lawn/landscape for Christmas?
Thank you for sharing. Those who decorate homes, do you take time to look at your decorations in the evening? Just curious. If not, then at least your neighbors will always remember you.
