I'm starting to feel like a mad scientist in here. :confused2: I feel like there is only a small percentage of us interesting in modding mowers...and since most of my mods are all hippyish I'm not sure if I count as much. :biggrin::tongue:

I would love to hear more about other peoples mods. The discussions really help my brain imagine how pieces go together and I learn more about it inside and out.

There are more of us than what you think. Hippyish mods? You might have to explain that too. I have never used mushrooms or plants of any kind to do a mod. Just give some of us time to build up courage to actually show our mickey mouse mods or at least my mickey mouse mods.:biggrin: Dusty

@ dusty-T: My mods are all theoretical right now (thought I'm trying to gather the parts for one) but hippyish in nature. Solar powered mowers, snake protectors, and the one I'm gathering materials for: my very own thigh powered bike mower. :D

@cottom: Sounds fab! Have pics?

I would love to have one of those solar mowers that you just set in the yard and let go. I saw one at Disney World once at Epcot by the huge round ball building you see when you first come into the park. It was sooooooooo cool!!! I've wanted one ever since but they are mega, mega expensive.

There's a thread here in the BiY section just on solar lawn mowers. I've been told that sometimes you can find them on closeout for waaaaay under the price. I am keeping my eye out and hoping I get lucky before fate forces me to cut bait and buy a mower.

Actually they are robotic mowers... thou I guess if you charged the battery with a solar pannel you could stretch it into being a solar power mower :biggrin: . KennyV

I would love to Mod a mower, but first I have to own a mower. We just bought the house, before the only grass we has was what grew between the rocks and the concrete.

I used to love "Tim the Tool Man Taylor"

Ohhhh. The link I posted actually had a solar panel on it, but even with the robotic mowers without panels--they are electric right? So I suppose rigging a shed with solar panels as the power source would work...
