    Poulin Wont Turn Over

    Hi I have a Poulan Pro Lawn Tractor 300 Series Model PB19546LT 6 Speed Fender Shift Transmission
    Briggs & Stratton Engine 19.5 HP Intek. The mower is a few years old but has never been used. It wont start. I have replaced the solenoid as suggested by Poulin and the fuse is good but no go. It does start by jumping the solenoid. The engine only clicks when turning the key. I am lost as to what to do. Any suggestions.

    If you unplug the little wire on the solenoid and put a multimeter on it when attempting to start the mower do you get 12v. If yes then I would check the safety switches on the clutch and pto. If you have 12v then you may have a bad ground on the solenoid. Some of the solenoid have two small wires and you will have 12 v on one wire but the safety switches are on the other wire and will need to ohm them out to find the problem.
