I have a 16 hp Hydrostatic Bolens Tractor that I am planning to restore I thinking of changing it to chain drive I have a lot of trouble with pto belts that turn the pump do you think this might be feasible I think a chain would give me a lot less Trouble and maybe more power to the pump

As far as more power with chain over belt I can't see why. If you are having a lot of belt problems there has to be a reason. Bad pulleys, pulley alignment, wrong belt, wrong belt tension ??? You are still going to have problems if these things aren't right with chain or belt. I would say repair your problem not your system because belt drive has been around for as long as I can remember and has been well perfected.
